Click here to enter. Software selectable "PS2 Quick Load" option. The purpose of this modification is to let console owners boot open source and homebrew applications on their Xbox Console. We do not promote or condone and are completely against software piracy!
Graphic artists and software programmers and engineers work very hard, day and night, to bring you all the latest and greatest games. They very well deserve to be paid for their outstanding efforts.
Which as you can see in all of today's games they are just at the edge of full on, deeply immersive and emotionally integrated virtual reality! If you truly enjoy a game, please go out and buy it! The original project name of the modchip was Qoob Lite later discovered from the source code. It works on Phat versions of the X except Xenon motherboard regardless of the Kernel version. Cart is Empty. Welcome to GoCyberShopping. The xkey is easier to install, far easier actually.
However, it does not allow you to install modified dashboards, hack XBLA games, install emulators etc. The xkey simply emulates the drive.
This means you can dump ISOS onto a hdd and play them, but that is all. However, as far as anyone currently knows, it is safe to play online. Provided you pass all your isos through ABGX before you dump them on the drive and also provided you do not play games before release dates.
However, I have heard too many times to count that shit is safe online, and I still have 2 banned xboxes :. Play isos from hdd, install XBLA games you have downloaded for free, install emulators, install modified dashboards etc. Its the reading of the NAND, then modifying the nand then writing it back to the console. I already have the programer and made up the parallel port writer to update your modchip if you get one.
There is a new version two out now which may be a bit better. I used to flash friends of mine Xbox's Drives until the XKey came out and have set this up for a few of my friend as well. It is pretty easy but depends on how familiar you are with playing around with them. The idea with the XKey is you need to get the key from the Xbox's DVD drive via Jungleflasher, with the Xtractor if its a Liteon or newer drive and patch it to the specific firmware.
Cord come out the back of the Xbox into the Xkey controller, The USB HDD plugs into the Xkey controller and then you pick the game you want to play and it emulates it so it shows up on the xbox like you inserted the game. Easy enough to install if you had some experience in it already otherwise can be a pain in the ass from scratch. Get great looking themes and keep all your games, XBLA, Homebrew apps etc on the one HDD and it will scan them all and download the artwork and control it all from your Xbox controller rather then using something like the XKey remote.
Can't say how hard it is to install however because when it started talking about dumping nands and circuits and soldering I was never going to touch it. Was cheap enough to do and worked great, just need to make sure you have a compatible Xbox Specific Manufacture date BEFORE you take it to get done had to take one back to the shop and get a refund because I got the wrong one.
If you don't live in Queensland the OZmodchips that are based in Victoria do it as well and they do postal services for it as well so anyone in Australia should be right to get it done. For me it was safer to pay someone else to do it rather then me stuffing up my new console. Good Luck!!!!!
