Rainy season is not just about the rains. It also brings with it days when the clouds cover the sun and it gets dark during the day time and days when we feel strong blowing throughout the day. I love going on morning walk with my mother as it drizzles.

I love bathing in the rain and so does my sister. We have an amazing time in the rain. We play loud music and dance in the rain for hours.

We also help our mother prepare pakodas and momos during this season. This is one season that brings us closer to our family and friends. My grandparents invite their friends over for evening tea during the rainy season. They are often accompanied by their grandchildren with whom we get to play while the elders sit and talk.

The flowers in our front lawn appear brighter and so does the grass. My father also comes home early during such days and we all have our dinner together.

All in all, rainy season is a time when I feel closer to the nature and also closer to my family and friends. It is the time to rejuvenate my senses and de-stress.
