David says false witnesses will testify against him. God will protect the bones of the righteous. The psalmists say God will rescue them from the land of the dead. God resurrected Jesus.
The Lord ascends on high, bringing captives with Him. Jesus ascended to heaven, and believers go to heaven. David says he will be rejected by his siblings. Jesus showed that zeal by cleaning out the temple and was questioned by the Sanhedrin members.
David talks of being fed gall and vinegar. Jesus was offered gall and vinegar on the cross. Solomon asks God for foreign kings to bring him gifts and honor. The magi did so for Jesus. God says He will make David His firstborn. Jesus forgave His enemies. David says his Lord will be made a priest of Melchizedek. Jesus is a priest of Melchizedek. The psalmist says the stone the builders reject will become the cornerstone.
God told Ezekiel the people would not understand what He was doing. Jesus used parables to keep casual observers from understanding His teaching. God promised that a virgin would conceive. Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived. God promised to send a Son who would be "God with us" "Emmanuel". Jesus is that Son. God promised the land of Zebulun and Naphtali and "Galilee of the nations" a light for their darkness. Jesus is that light; at the time of Jesus, Galilee was a mix of Jews and Gentiles.
Gentiles will come to God. John the Baptist is that messenger. The scriptures tell us that the throne of David would be established forever, and this is prophesied in 2 Samuel ,13, 1 Chronicles , and 2 Chronicles The promised Redeemer is mentioned in Job A priest like Melchizedek is noted in Psalm Proverbs declares the Son of God.
Isaiah proclaimed more prophecies concerning Christ than anyone, particularly the well-known verses in Isaiah A description of the New Covenant brought forth by Christ is described in Jeremiah This is referring to the Messiah, the Good Shepherd.
Daniel speaks of His everlasting Kingdom Daniel , These are but a fraction of the Old Testament prophecies proclaiming the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and these prophecies are fulfilled through Jesus Christ and found within the gospels, Romans, Acts, the Epistles, and Revelation. The importance of staying in the Word of God, understanding the New Testament and its harmony with the Old Testament, cannot be overemphasized.
To understand one is to understand the other, and they both testify of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. And I know my sins put distance between us, and I know I cannot save myself. Only Your Son, Yeshua, can save me and eliminate the distance between us. I believe He is Your Son, who died for my sins and rose from the dead.

As these prophecies reveal, God planned our redemption all the way back in the garden. Jesus's death and resurrection were the most important events in history. It's no surprise that God would give us signs of his plans throughout Israel's history and prophets.
